Our Process
When you join our program and commit to living a sober life you will be guided through a personalized program that includes all or some of the following steps:
- A referral is received or an initial inquiry is made
- An intake interview is conducted
- We explain the logistics of the intake process
- The individual is welcomed into the program and residency begins
- A goal list is developed
- An Intensive Outpatient Program is implemented
- An ongoing counseling schedule is made which is attended when the Intensive Outpatient Program has concluded
- Peer mentoring may be established
- Recovery meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous ( AA), Narcotics Anonymous, (NA) or Celebrate Recovery, (CR) are attended
- Life situations are addressed such as repairing one’s credit, doctor’s appointments etc.
- Recommendations are provided for vocational training
- Employment options are explored
- Relapse prevention counseling is implemented
Opportunity Ministries is a member of the National Association of Recovery Residences, NARR), and also holds the Maryland Certification of Recovery Residences, (MCORR).
