Our Process

When you join our program and commit to living a sober life you will be guided through a personalized program that includes all or some of the following steps:

  • A referral is received or an initial inquiry is made
  • An intake interview is conducted
  • We explain the logistics of the intake process
  • The individual is welcomed into the program and residency begins
  • A goal list is developed
  • An Intensive Outpatient Program is implemented
  • An ongoing counseling schedule is made which is attended when the Intensive Outpatient Program has concluded
  • Peer mentoring may be established
  • Recovery meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous ( AA), Narcotics Anonymous, (NA) or Celebrate Recovery, (CR) are attended
  • Life situations are addressed such as repairing one’s credit, doctor’s appointments etc.
  • Recommendations are provided for vocational training
  • Employment options are explored
  • Relapse prevention counseling is implemented

Opportunity Ministries is a member of the National Association of Recovery Residences, NARR), and also holds the Maryland Certification of Recovery Residences, (MCORR).
